Sustainability - we mean it!
CargoLine has published its first ever sustainability report
At the end of March, CargoLine published its first ever sustainability report. Does it only serve as a fig leave for our road activities? Or is it really worth the paper it was printed on? Decide for yourself: simply download the report on the right or order your copy from this email address (sorry, available in German only)!
The fact is: all of CargoLine's efforts in the areas of economic, ecologic and social reponsibility have been compiled in this report. We have deliberately chosen this broad approach as it reflects how we understand the scope of the term "sustainability". At the same time, it corresponds with the UN's definition of the term as defined at the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), also known as the Rio Summit.
Our report was established in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guideline in its latest version (guideline G4), which is worldwide considered THE standard for sustainbility reports. That way our report is fully transparent and our sustainability efforts are comparable with those of any other company worldwide.
In compiling the data and turning it into a GRI 4-compliant report, we were assisted by the renowned Steinbeis-Beratungszentrum für Spedition und Logistik under the aegis of professor doctor Dirk Lohre.
